Every day for this first week of the year Pastor Wayne will be providing devotional thoughts from the book of Mark.

Sometimes when people read the Bible, they feel like they don't get anything from it. Therefore, this series is designed to help you know what type of questions you can ask yourself, in order to get the most out of your Bible reading.

• Day 4— Mark 1:35-39
• Day 5— Mark 1:40-45
• Day 6— Mark 2:1-12

It is the goal of this series, that by the end, you will be able to read the Bible on your own, without outside help.

In order to get the most out of your devotion, there are three things that are great to do with each passage that you go through:

• Listen to the podcast and read along
• Prayerfully journal your thoughts
• Apply the message

Make sure you start each devotion by praying for the Holy Spirit, so He can give you understanding and a surrendered heart to receive the Word.
