Patrick, waking up is the right description. Jesus told a parable how all the virgins slept. Even the ones that represented the true church. This message doesn't take away the calling, its hopefully waking people up to the calling

Powerful sermon Pastor Wayne, your message today brought forth like a wake up call to members like me with a laodecian character .

We all have to personalize it. I as the pastor have to apply it first. I don't want to go back to the way I use to be. I need to grow in the Lord by being rooted in Him

The message today was very sobering to learn of the reasons why Adventist have left the church. I believe we have missed the central theme for our lives, which is Jesus Christ for without Him I ( we) cannot do anything not even be a Christian or a believer much less maintaining ourselves as members of the church. I have been learning about this that the faith and righteousness of christ is what i need above all. I was feeling disconnected for a while and thank God He saw my need and gave me, and fed me the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His love. That's what I was missing and that's what I need to maintain in him.

One of my favorite scriptures i found that helped me connect to Christ more is John 15:4-5.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Beautiful....

What a great message! This is a time for self reflection to.explore our relationship with God and our brothers and sisters. What a great time to think about how we will be able to make a difference when we return. We need to think about looking at church as our home and treat people with the same love and attention that we show when people come to our actual homes.

I love that mentality. The apostles went from house to house delivering the message and fellowshipping with them. They also went to the temple outer courts as well as synagogues. But most gatherings were done at homes. Imagine when the cornavirus thing is done we have several home churches during the week and then on Sabbath we gathered in a building all together that also felt like big home.
