I have heard about the book of Solomon, but I haven't really read it. Didn't see the need to know a man's love for someone as deep as Solomon who had it for his lady. But then this does not only demonstrate the love they share, but the type of love Jesus shares with us. Didn't see that coming, but now that I do, I feel surely married to Him.

I must admit, I got lost in the metaphors. For a second, I thought I was reading another book. Perhaps the answer lies in the reason that a kiss signifies the beginning of an intimate relationship. Understanding who Solomon was, it is evident that a relationship between him and God was built into an emotional and spiritual marriage until Solomon decided to follow his new master: sin.

Song of Solomon is a fascinating book.
I have a sermon that I have preached in other churches. Maybe I will preach it in Yonkers one day.
In the mean time there is a great series on right now media that I have watched back in college that is very accurate.
Here is the link:

It is an 11 part series.

Note: it expires on April 22.
