Humans desires and need tangible information in order to feel, internalize and believe. Therefore if the person does not accept that there is more than the flesh and there is a spiritual realm, then the person will be resistant to accept Our Lord.

It's unfortunate. Jesus gave them many tangible and visual things, but yet they still wanted a sign

That is a bit confusing. As I mentioned. It mentions nights because Jews viewed the night and day as a whole. So although Jesus was not in the tomb for 72 hours they still said that he was in the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. Because he was there for part of the 6th day, all of the 7th day, and part of the 1st day of the week.

In my opinion, people look for signs because they do not believe by faith. Traditions and self awareness contribute to uncertainty when we are contronted by truth.

Hmm that's interesting. Trust takes a lot more than just following traditions

God used Jonah in a great way, to share His love to Ninevah. Ninevah was dying in their sins. So God sent and used Jonah to bring His message of salvation Same as God sent Christ. So, they would be changed, transformed in heart to follow God. A new people to do new things for Him. As God changes as today.

Amazing how God was able to use a reluctant prophet. Imagine how He can someone who is willing

Why do people think that they need a sign to believe in God? I think it's because those who were supposed to be shepherds have betrayed people and have led people astray so much that people want to know for sure that what they are following is really the right thing. But we have to realize that even Satan can show wonders and signs. If we prayerfully and diligently study the word of God we will have all the signs we need to believe. If these people did that, Jesus would not have to tell them about Jonah or any other signs that point to Him as the Savior. I am not saying this to judge them. there is a lot I still need to learn, but I pray that God will help me and all of us to prayerfully and diligently study His word daily.

So true, Satan can do miracles to, so that is not a good idea to base your faith on signs

I believe that pride and unwillingness to recognize their mistakes, kept them from seen the Lord as He was the true son of God of heaven.

Pride is a big obstacle when it comes to the kingdom of God

Today’s day of “ the generation of scientific technology “ the humans mind is becoming scientific too , The scientific mind motto that says “to see is to believe and if there is a cause there an effect . “So a person with a scientific and skeptical to see is to believe mind , will always ask for proofs that things really happened right in front of his/her eyes for him to believe , Faith is obliterated in this kind of mind . Unlike a simple Holy Sprit Faith filled mind will always say “ for by faith I believe , and when I believe , I started to see .”

They say seeing is believing, but faith is trusting beyond what you cannot see
