These discussion questions are based on the sermon titled "Uncertain Times".
Here are some discussion questions that you can talk about with the people that are in your home with you. You can also call a friend who was watching and discuss it with them. Or you can break out a notebook and use these questions to journal your thoughts on the message. Those who are at the church will discuss this after the message.

1. How does Anxiety weight us down?

2. Why should we not follow our flesh?

3. Why is it important to focus on the things of the Spirit?

4. How does trust root us in Christ?

5. How does God protect us during uncertain times?

6. In times of change, why is it good to know that God can always be with us?

How does Anxiety weight us down?

Anxiety weights us down because it prevents us from being happy. It also weights us down because we take matters in our own hands instead of relying on God. This causes us to always be in state of constant self rescue which becomes overwhelming. When we are worried, we need to just put all our trust in God and fully rely on Him.

Psalms 46:1-3 and 10-11, explains that, "1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
