The current state guideline allows for the attendance of religious services to be at 50% of the buildings capacity. Please pre-register to reserve your time and to help us keep an accurate log.
    • Practice social distancing by remaining 6 feet apart
    • No hugging, handshakes, or any other physical contact
    • Everyone in the building over the age of two must wear a Mask at all times (masks will be provided for those who do not have)
    • Children twelve and under must be accompanied to the bathroom
    • Enter through the front entrance
    Note:
    • Worship Service will be held in the Gymnasium.
    • ​According to the NY State Department of Health those over 70, those who have underlying health conditions, or those who are immunocompromised should consider separate worship times. 
    ​Please consider answering the following questionnaire. You are not required to answer these questions unless you are part of the staff. However, if you cannot answer "No" to the following questions than please stay home and respect the safety of others.
    *​Symptoms of COVID-19: Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
    If you have any symptoms please contact your healthcare provider for assessment and testing.
    ​** Below is current as of November 18. Those who are returning from any state besides Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Vermont must self-quarantine for 14 days.  Same goes for most international returns.
    It is possible to "test out" of the 14 day quarantine.  Two tests are required.  First test no more than 72 hours before arriving in New York State. Three days quarantine upon arrival in New York. Then on the fourth day another diagnostic test  If both tests are negative the quarantine can be ended.
    If you are in a restricted state for less than 24 hours, quarantine is not required BUT the traveler MUST fill out the traveler form and have a diagnostic test on the fourth day after arrival back in New York.

]]><![CDATA[Sabbath Service Open in Bedford Park - Bronx]]>Fri, 14 Aug 2020 17:22:55 GMThttps://www.waynejamel.com/bedford_park/sabbath-service-open-in-bedford-park-bronxGood news. The Bedford Park Church board has voted to approve the opening of our church doors for the main worship service.
 
The state of NY is now allowing churches to open their buildings for up to 50% of their building’s capacity. The building is large enough to accommodate all of our usual attendees. We will be meeting in the gym so that we can practice proper social distancing.

So starting this Saturday:
The service will begin at 12:30pm

Here is the order of the service:
Opening prayer
Songs
Testimonies and prayer requests will follow
Announcements
Message
Discussion based on the message

This will not be livestreamed. In order to accommodate those who are not able to attend at this time do to safety concerns, they can watch the livestream on this website that will air at 11:15am.

Safety:
I want to assure you that the church is following the guidelines set out by the Center for Disease Control as well as the NY State Department of Health. You can see the guidelines when you pre-register.
We are asked to keep a log of attendance for our services, so we are asking members before they arrive to pre-register by clicking this link below:

Please Note:
Sabbath School will remain on the zoom at 9:50am -10:45am. No in-person Sabbath School will be available at the church building.
 
Food will not be eaten in the building.

We have plenty of face masks from the Adventist Community Services. We encourage you to bring your own face coverings, however these masks will be provided for those who may not have any. These masks must be worn at all times while moving about in the building.
 
Social distancing will be observed. Members are to sit 6 feet apart, with the exception of families which are allowed to sit together. To aide in this, designated seating areas will be marked off.
  
We are asking members that wish to be present to fill out the online form.
 
The conference has provided me with a 40 page document outlining the regulations of the New York State Department of Health and the Centers of Disease and Control Prevention (CDC). I have read this thoroughly. I studied it like I was preparing for a test. So I want to assure you we will be safe and will be complying with all their regulations.
 
I encourage you to attend our worship service on Saturdays at 12:30pm.
However I do recognize that we have a number of people who are at high risk due to health conditions and age. We are not encouraging you to attend. Please take advantage of the messages on my website.
